We’re proud to have our very first interview featured in The Hype Magazine!
Check out M!ke Anthony’s first in-depth story here:
Here’s a song I never thought about sharing before until now. This one is a little strange. I tried to emulate an actual record that a DJ would be spinning. You’ll see what I mean…
Some kind of experimental hip hop thing, I guess. For those who want to kick a quick flow, this may intrigue you. Thanks for listening!
This instrumental was created by combining various sounds that were sampled from different vinyl records. The difference here is that every sound used in this recording came from a source where copyrights no longer applied, making the source material ok to use in this production.
So I went ahead and put together this simple 2-verse instrumental for those who are into the natural, dusty sound that vinyl brings. Two repetitive 16-bar verses that are almost identical. Perfect for a classic hip hop track.
I hope you enjoy.
I love that classic sound of hip hop. Check out this simple yet flavorful, hard-hitting, loop splitting hip hop tune.
No new school for this one.
Thank you for listening!
Tempo: 90 bpm
Just a little hip hop thing I put together for you.
I hope you enjoy.
Tempo: 84 bpm
I have a new beat tape coming out soon called “ACID.” The tape will feature all downtempo-style hip hop instrumentals with a jazz influence.
The tape will be available very soon, but in the meantime check out one of the songs that will be included in the tape. This should give you a great idea of what you’ll be hearing when it releases.
This is a jazz instrumental with a very heavy hip hop influence. Specifically, this would fall under the Acid Jazz sub-genre.
Lots of DJ scratches throughout.
Tempo: 78 bpm
As we are frequent visitors to the city and since we love Ben’s Chili Bowl in Washington, D.C., I decided to dedicate this instrumental to them.
Because of the long history of this place and the awesome food for which they’ve earned their landmark status, I felt it only right to make a song for them.
Horns and other goodies.
Subways is a short, super-simple hip hop instrumental with a funky chopped up sample and hard drums straight from the old school. No fancy filtering or sound effects.
I even threw a few simple scratches in there to help give it that classic feel.
Tempo: 95 bpm
From The 90-95′s tape.
A very upbeat, lively piano instrumental. There are DJ scratches in the intro and hook. Congas throughout for some flavor.
There’s a very simple bass line that comes in when it’s ready.
Tempo: 92 bpm
