This song is dedicated to my good friend, Rose. She asked me to sample one of her favorite bands, Motley Crue, and so I did!

This is a little bit on the funky side. Watch the bass because it may be a little tough. Funky guitars and synth, with a clav backing up the main guitar. Enjoy.

I named this beat after me and my wife’s favorite park in Manhattan — Bryant Park.
For this instrumental, I used an old sample that I had that was pretty short. I cut it into a few pieces and created a loop with it. I then found a cool old break beat that I thought fit well over the sample and programmed my own drums over the break.
I took it back to my old sampling and filtering days with this one. There’s not much to it. The sample switches back and forth between the normal and filtered versions, and follows this pattern throughout the beat. Enjoy.

This is a very short sampled organ and guitar instrumental that was made back in early 2011. It is a simple beat and doesn’t have much going on. There’s a few pauses in the beat and some pitch bending effects, but other than that is pretty straight forward. Great for an interlude or quick project.

I’ve had requests to put together an acoustic tape, and to make things easier for you, I have compiled the first volume out of the acoustic beats that are already available – which will make it easier to download everything in one shot.
I was checking out some graffiti and I had an idea. I had these pianos that I wanted to use and they kinda remind me of some old alley or something. So I went ahead and put this together. There are a few strings in the hook and some cool sound effects throughout the beat. At some point after the second hook, there is a harpsichord that comes in. I layered the drums with a breakbeat that I thought fit the feel of the track.
I’m not sure how the mix is going to sound on your end. Over here it sounds like the kicks may be too loud, but the meters are reading ok so I’m not sure. Anyway, be careful with the bass.

I found this old vinyl sample that I had, so I chopped it up. I had 16 pieces to work with and I used about 4 of them. This beat is simple. There are no fancy change ups or effects. I’m not sure how the mix sounds; I never really listened to it outside of my house. So take it as it comes. There is a male vocal sample in the hook. The beat is very repetitive but maybe someone can use this. Thanks for listening.

This is a sampled beat that has street written all over it. It has dj scratches over a chopped up and repetitive horn sample. Simple drums and a deep bass tone. Not much more to this beat. I kept it simple on purpose to allow the writer to be more creative on their end and come up with something that can fill in the blanks.

This is another sampled beat. The sounds all came from several different sources. I tried my best to match the key and the mood of the sounds to create this song. This time the focus was a bit more strange than the normal. I didn’t want to do a typical hip hop beat again, so the drum pattern is a little different.
There are vocals throughout the beat that say “Yeah.” Because of the way the sample was chopped, the vocals are there to stay – so I apologize ahead of time.
Strings come in for the hook and gives it a dark and hard feel. There are a few pianos in there but nothing complicated. Enjoy.

This beat has a chopped up guitar sample as the main melody. The hook is simple and has a single string instrument in the back. There is not much to this beat other than the chops. There is a flute in there to spice things up. The drums change up throughout the beat, but mainly the kick drum and the hats. Watch the bass, the tone hits very low and may be a little heavy on your end. Enjoy.
